FuBu: Flow through Play!

FuBu: Flow through Play!

Listen GalleryGlasgow, Glasgow
Saturday, Mar 7 from 1:30 pm to 5 pm GMT
Overview

Join us for an afternoon of play and mindfulness guided by Valentina.

During this event, participants will be welcomed with an initial moment to arrive and settle into the space, followed by a guided breathwork session of about 20 minutes to be taken at your own pace and comfortability. Once fully present in our body and our collective space, we will start to play!

We will have different game options to recognise different abilities, and a break in the middle to unwind, snack and make new friends! This workshop is designed to center joy, presence and playfulness, elements that are so necessary to our wellbeing.

Come move through your rage and find clarity in your community <3

Please note snacks will be provided, but not lunch.

This workshop will be led by For us, By us participant Valentina (she/they).

Valentina is a therapist in training who has always had an interest in practices that promote wellbeing. She trained as a yoga teacher in 2021, has been journaling since the age of 10 and loooves a good game night. She believes there is a special connection between playfulness and mindfulness and invites us to keep an open mind,be curious and lead with your senses!

About For us, By us (FuBu)

For Us, By Us is a nine-month project running from September 2025 - April 2026. The project aims to strengthen our community’s resilience by developing the skills and capacity for community leadership.

As part of this, over the past few months Exhale has been working with 6 people from the community, providing them with training and support to co-create and deliver a programme of free events for the QTIPoC+ community, running from January - April 2026.

This event has been organised and will be delivered by one of the participants of this project. This will be the first event they have fully organised and delivered alone so we ask that you bring your patience, trust and openness.

Thank you to the GCVS Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for funding this project.

About Listen Gallery

The event is being held at Listen Gallery - a non-profit sound arts gallery and communal listening space based in Glasgow. We are intentionally hosting the event here, as the only Global Majority-led arts space in the country which is also unfunded, relying mostly on volunteer labour.

As an organisation led by Global Majority perspectives, love and hospitality are foundational to their practice. The name LISTEN: Love Is Serving The Ears Now, reflects these values and informs every aspect of their work. We ask that in this space you acknowledge the labour, effort and love that goes into Listen and respect this.

It is a wheelchair accessible venue, with soft lighting, and prayer space available. Full access details can be found here - Listen Gallery
