Full Day Yoga Immersion

Matt is a yoga and mindfulness teacher and a certifiedFunctional Range Conditioning©Mobility Specialist.His teaching combines contemporary understanding of the ways in which we move with the wisdom and insight of the yoga and mindfulness traditions - presenting these practices in a way that is respectful to their heritage and original intentions.Whilst it was the physicality of yoga that initially drew Matt to the practice - in particular the transitions and the flow of movement - he soon found that there were many benefits beyond just the physical as yoga brought greater balance and awareness into his life.And as he continues to deepen his understanding of these transformative practices, he feels incredibly lucky to help others discover the benefits of yoga and mindfulness for themselves, doing so in a considered, grounded way that is accessible and relatable to all.

Treat yourself to a full day in the wonderful surroundings of Beckenham Place Park to completely immerse yourself in yoga practice - asana, pranayama, meditation and relaxation.
In the second of this series of one day immersions, the focus for our asana practice will be a deep dive into the mechanics and techniques of backbending. We will take this exploration in a variety of poses - prone and supine, sitting, standing and balancing.
After lunch we'll switch our focus to breath work, pranayama and meditation practices. The day will end with a long guided relaxation.
It will be a wonderful opportunity to dive into your practice in a small group setting in what is surely the best situated yoga studio in London.

<LI>11.00 - 13.00: Asana Practice: Exploration of Backbends</LI>
<LI>13.00 - 14.00: Lunch</LI>
<LI>14.00 - 15.15: Restorative Yin Practice</LI>
<LI>15.15 - 15.45: Breath Work and Pranayama</LI>
<LI>15.45 - 16.30: Meditation and Relaxation</LI>

<LI>The studio is fully equipped with props so no need to bring your own (unless you really want to!)</LI>
<LI>Please dress in yoga clothing that allows you to move freely</LI>
<LI>The venue has a cafe on site but you may prefer to bring your own lunch</LI>
<LI>If weather permits we may eat lunch together outside - so please bring appropriate clothing</LI>
