Hear directly from funders and ask questions about open funding programme and eligibility of your projects and ideas

We are delighted to invite third sector organisations to our first Funding Conversations event of 2023 to hear from representatives from Greenspace Scotland (Tesco Community Grants), BBC Children in Need and The National Lottery Community Fund, who will provide a summary of open programmes and answer your questions.We hope this event will help improve local understanding of sources of funding, help identify whether you have an eligible project idea and provide a unique opportunity to ask questions about the following programmes and application process.Port Glasgow and Greenock Tesco Community GrantsGreenspace Scotland is committed to distributing funds to community groups in Port Glasgow and Greenock to help them deliver their work and want to ensure that local groups are well equipped to benefit. Tesco stores in Port Glasgow and Greenock award funding to 3 groups on a quarterly basis after each instore voting period; 1st £1,500; 2nd £1,000 and 3rd £500. Tamara, the Regional Community Enabler is looking for more applications for 2023 and will provide potential applicants with tips, and advice to help them submit their next application.BBC Children in NeedChildren in Need exists to change and improve young lives and offers grants to organisations that support children and young people up to the age of 18 in the UK. The Fund has recently launched a new grant giving strategy and has reopened for applications under two new funding stream; Core Grants and Projects Grants. Paul Liddell (Programme and Partnership Manager) will provide an overview of the new strategy, funding streams and application processes and answer your questions.National Lottery Community FundThis event will provide the opportunity for charities and groups to meet João Gonçalves, our new Lottery Funding Officer for Inverclyde, and learn about a number of open funding programmes; Cost-of-Living Support (grants of between £10,001 - £75,000) and Cost of Living Awards for All which support individuals, families and communities experiencing hardship as a result of the cost of living crisis, and Young Start which provides funding to help children and young people become more confident and realise their potential.
