Event description
We rely on energy at home and in the workplace; and yet, it is the largest source of our greenhouse gas emissions.

About this Event

We rely on energy at home and in the workplace; and yet, it is the largest source of our greenhouse gas emissions.

Whilst we are seeing more renewable energy on the grid, and cleaner cars on our roads, energy remains one of the UK’s biggest decarbonisation challenges, and one that is all too often overlooked.

This event will discuss how we are planning on solving this challenge facing society and what low-carbon measures are already in place within our local region. Speakers will be presenting on the key energy technologies that are currently available for businesses to deliver their carbon and sustainability targets. There will also be presentations from real-life business case studies, and top tips to provide attendees with the insight and inspiration needed to drive forward their energy agendas.

There will also be a walking tour of buildings within Coventry City Centre which are powered by renewable energy and the City’s underground Heatline to demonstrate alternative energy solutions which are reducing carbon emissions in the local area.

Details will be provided on funding which is available for SMEs based in Coventry and Warwickshire through the Green Business Programme.

This event will:

• Identify the future of UK energy infrastructure and its effects on business

• Provide an overview of the energy technologies and options available

• Showcase organisations who have adopted renewable energy technologies

• Update on green energy tariff providers

• Outline the cost and business perspective of solar in a post feeding tariff world and how it might apply to your business

• Take delegates on a walking tour of the City to look at Solar PV, Heatline, Heat Pumps and Natural Ventilation

• Outline access to funding opportunities for small to medium sized business in Coventry and Warwickshire, including grants up to £50k, with details on free energy and resource efficiency audits and one to one consultancy advice
