How can we increase the number of young people applying for - and completing - apprenticeships in the North East? Join the North East LEP, the Federation of Small Businesses and the North East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network as we reveal the findings of new research and discuss how we can promote and deliver high quality technical skills and industry experience through apprenticeships in our region.While apprenticeships can help address skills shortages and provide a pathway into a range of careers, the North East has experienced the greatest reduction in apprenticeships compared with other regions.As a result, we&#x27;ve commissioned a new piece of research focused on finding out how we can address this decline and make apprenticeships in the North East work better for both employers and for young people.At the event you will:<ul><li>Hear key findings from the research and recommendations for the North East</li><li>Have the opportunity to share your apprenticeship experiences and help shape the region’s new Apprentice Ready strategy</li><li>Learn about the benefits of apprenticeships including creating a skills pipeline and improving staff retention</li><li>Discuss the research findings with other businesses and apprenticeship providers from our region.</li></ul>The event is part of the 16th annual National Apprenticeship Week.
