Bring your websites to life with interactivity!
JavaScript is what makes websites interactive. In this beginner-friendly course, you’ll learn how to write code that responds to clicks, changes content, and adds simple animations.
What to expect
By the end of the workshop, you’ll:
- Understand what JavaScript is and how it works with the browser
- Write scripts to add interactivity to web pages
- Create dynamic features like popups or input forms
This workshop runs from 10am to 3pm both days.
We'll also be providing light refreshments throughout the day; however, please bring your own lunch.
Who is this for?
Adults aged 18 to 30 who have basic experience with HTML and CSS. You don't need extensive coding experience, but you need to be confident using a computer, browsing the internet and saving files.

What do I need to bring?
If you have your own laptop, please bring this with you, otherwise, we have a limited number of devices you can borrow on the day (please indicate if this is required on sign up).
Cost
This event is free to attend. We charge a £5 booking fee, which is refunded on attending the event. Or, if you prefer, you can leave it as a donation to MadLab CIC to support future community-led events. Refunds will be processed within seven working days. If you cannot afford a ticket, please email office@madlab.org.uk with your name and postcode, and we will be in touch.
