Description
FuturePlanet Presents - Cities, Communities & Climate Action.
Join us on the 14th May Shoreditch London for an evening of inspiring stories from change-makers creating a positive impact on our planet. There will also be space to ACT on Climate as we mobilise for good...oh yeah and there will be the usual juiciness, drinks, food and awesome connections!
Feel inspired, be empowered and connect with your tribe

Theme
Air, water and soil pollution, biodiversity loss and climate change are all made by humans. In 2016, 1.7 billion people—23% of the world's population— lived in a city with at least 1 million inhabitants. The health and wellbeing of each of us is impacted.
We have the power to make a change, to build cities and communities to have a positive impact on people and the planet. In a perfect future, what do our cities and communities look like? How we can we get there faster? What actions can we make today to accelerate our transition to a sustainable future?
Speakers and Panel
Exciting! What a great cast. We will have 8-minute inspirational words and discussions from the following.
Carl Pratt, Founder FuturePlanet, hosting the evening and sharing updates from the FuturePlanet community.
Steve Malkin, CEO Planet First and Founder of The Planet Mark, sustainability certification and programme empowering organisations to reduce carbon emissions, energy & water consumption, travel, & waste.
Beth Gardiner the London-based environmental journalist and author of Choked: The Age of Air Pollution and the Fight for A Cleaner Future
Alastair Mant, Head of Business Transformation at UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), on accelerating the move to a circular built environment
Araceli Camargo, Co-Founder of Centric Lab uses neuroscience to understand more about the relationship between people and the physical environment. Her goal is to make habitats that are healthy, sustainable, and accessible.
Dave Carlos, Managing Director of JustOne, a communications and change consultancy focusing on empowering individuals to bring about positive change.
Adventure & Act
We will be surfing the crowd for your stories and suggestions, what inspires you, how you see the future of cities, what actions can we take personally and collectively.
Celebration! Welcome Freedom Brewery to the Family!

We loved Jonathan Smith, Head Brewer from Freedom Brewery sharing stories of the natural brewing process that goes into creating the Freedom organic, vegan beers. It is super exciting for them to join FuturePlanet as partners and means we will be keeping the good times flowing, whilst feeling content!
