What is Futures Literacy?

Futures Literacy is the ability to understand how and why we use ideas about the future. Developed by UNESCO, it’s a powerful tool that helps people make sense of uncertainty, challenge their assumptions, and imagine radically different possibilities.

A hackathon is an immersive event where participants come together to solve problems, explore new ideas, and collaborate on creative solutions. In this case, we're “hacking” the future — challenging conventional thinking and experimenting with bold alternatives.

What are the Hackathon's objectives?

The hackathon actively seeks to spark awareness of aspects about the present that were not previously perceptible. These insights then offer many avenues for participants to use the future more to shape both what they see and do.

Futures of Technology, Futures of Climate Change, Futures of Child Poverty, Futures of Financial Inclusion,...

What will be the outcome of the Hackathon?

Collectively graps the power of assumptions being used to generate images of the future. In the end, we will create a collective image of futures on pressing issues.
