Exciting and engaging coding & electronics workshops

Learn how fun and satisfying coding can be whilst controlling robots, sensors, LED’s, joysticks and more!

You write the code, real code, using a language accessible to all, you control a robotic arm, a light sensitive resistor, LED’s, write a simple game & control it with a joystick you have wired-up and more.
Whilst having a great deal of fun you’ll be learning a huge amount about coding, problem solving and the basics of electronics.

This workshop is designed for complete beginners or those with a little experience of graphic or text-based programming.

We start off teaching a basic “Loop” and build your knowledge up from there:

Loop
Print “Hello World ”
Repeat

With each program you write, you will learn what you’re doing, why you’re doing it that way and what adding, changing/altering will do.
You will de-bug/solve your own problems
You will then use what you’ve learnt to write more programs to do other things, like control LED’s, sensors and a Joystick.

We will go with your pace. If you pick it up really quickly, we can move on, if you’d like more time, that’s great. There are no hard and fast rules.

This workshop is to show you how much fun coding is, how much you can achieve in a short space of time and teaches you some very valuable coding skills.

You will leave with a really good starting knowledge of coding and as you will be inspired to explore and learn more after you leave, we will give you a USB stick with a copy of FUZE BASIC, the coding language you will use in the workshop & PDF project cards so you can keep programming at home on any Windows device.
