We are an independent learning centre based in Lairg, Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands. Our missions is to make community learning available and accessible to our communities through delivering fun, affordable classes, workshops and learning opportunities both physically and digitally.

Would you like to learn a Gaelic song or two to celebrate World Gaelic Week?

This free fun and informal workshop is open to all, no previous experience of Gaelic or singing is necessary.Led by singer Aileen Ogilvie, you'll learn some well known Gaelic songs including some connected to Sutherland.

Seachdain na Gàidhlig (World Gaelic Week) aims to raise the profile of Gaelic through community initiatives, projects and events. It provides the opportunity for both Gaelic speakers and those without the language to take part in a way that suits them; here in Scotland and further afield. The Theme for 2024 is ‘Your Language. Your Opportunity’.
