<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Taking inspiration from <A HREF="http://www.dulwichpicturegallery.org.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/2017/march/the-private-made-public/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Antonio de Pereda’s <EM>Two Figures at a Kitchen Table</EM></A>, we’ll be hosting a night of multi-sensory exploration to feed your mind and your stomach.</P>

<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal"><STRONG>AVM Curiosities </STRONG><EM>(Multisensory Tour / 6-10pm) </EM></H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><A HREF="http://www.avmcuriosities.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><STRONG>AVM Curiosities</STRONG></A> will present the collection as a treat for the senses. Part treasure hunt, part edible-edition, their Aroma-Tour is a three-part illustrated guide that matches three works from the collection to a bespoke sensory pairing.</P>

<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal"><STRONG>From the Kitchen Table </STRONG><EM>(Drop-in Workshop / 6-10pm)</EM></H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">For one night only, you will be encouraged to play with your food! Join artist Kim Jacobson to create paints and paintings with edible materials. Pick from a smorgasbord of ingredients, including herbs and spices, vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes to experiment with making paint and dyes. Try making tempera with egg and using different foods to create your own still life painting – where the subject is also the material. It’s time to put on your alchemist’s hat and smell and taste what it was like to be an artist in Pereda’s time.</P>
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal"><BR></H3>
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal"><STRONG>Candy Floss Cloud</STRONG> <EM>(Installation / 6-9:30pm)</EM></H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Inspired by food iconography and its cultural connotations, over the course of the evening artist Beccy McCray will create The Candy Floss Cloud; a multi-sensory experiment that is part interactive performance, part edible art installation. The endless task of building the ever-shrinking sugar sculpture references the roll that consumer culture plays in global warming. At the end of the evening the artwork is consumed - literally eaten by participants in an immersive public feasting ceremony. Catch it before it disappears... Beccy explores playful, socially engaged art and design that breaks down boundaries between art, activism and everyday life, using creativity to raise awareness of environmental issues and social ideals. </P>

<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal"><STRONG>Food in Art</STRONG> <EM>(Talk / 6:30-7pm, 7:30-8pm, 8:30-9pm)</EM></H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Join art and food historian Janine Catalano to take a closer look at the works in the gallery and consider various ways in which food connotes meaning beyond merely the edible. Janine has published on the relationship between food and art and been featured in conversations at Tate and on BBC Radio 4. In addition to teaching courses at the V&A and the Courtauld and lecturing widely on food, culture and art, she designs and leads tours of culinary and artistic London. Janine also curates culinary events grounded in artistic and historical research, which have included Salvador Dali dinners, Impressionist picnics and Samuel Pepys suppers, to name but a few. </P>

<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal"><STRONG>Food Styling for Instagram </STRONG><EM>(Mini-Masterclass / </EM><I>6:45-7pm, 7:15-7:30pm &amp; 7:45-8pm)</I></H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Swap your paintbrush for your smartphone as we take a look at today’s answer to still life painting – the Instagram food photograph. Instagram foodie Jane from <A HREF="https://www.instagram.com/milesbeforebreakfast/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Miles Before Breakfast</A> will be sharing her tips for capturing the perfect snap in this food styling and photography mini-masterclass. From picking your props and setting up a shot to technical how-tos, learn how to build, shoot and edit the perfect food-envy inducing phone picture.</SPAN></P>

<H3><STRONG>Sargent: The Watercolours</STRONG></H3>
<P>Your ticket includes all Lates activities and entry to the Permanent Collection. A discounted £5 ticket add on is available for the <A HREF="http://www.dulwichpicturegallery.org.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/2017/june/sargent-the-watercolours/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><EM>Sargent: The Watercolours</EM></A> exhibition. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the 'Tickets' button above or at the Gallery admissions desk on the night. <SPAN>Friends do not need to purchase add-on exhibition tickets and can access the exhibition free of charge.</SPAN></P>
