Join us for a networking and social event, featuring gamedev talks and playtesting. In collaboration with the London Unity User Group.

Goldsmiths, University of London, is organising a networking event for anyone involved in the field of Game Development. Connect with other gamedev enthusiasts, share experiences and forge new collaborative partnerships.The event is organised in partnership with the London Unity User Group (LUUG), but anyone with an interest in game development and Unity is more than welcome to attend.

For the occasion, Goldsmiths is organising a series of talks, alongside with a dedicated showcase and playtesting space for anyone who wants to show their current projects.<ul><li>📅 31st March 2023</li><li>🕕 Talks start at 5:30pm</li><li>🗺️ Professor Stuart Hall Building (80 Lewisham Way, London SE14 6NW)</li><li>🗣️ Lower Ground Floor, Room 02 (PSH 02)</li><li>🍔 Light refreshment will be provided</li></ul>

T﻿he event features a series of short talks relevant to game and app development in Unity:<ul><li>&quot;Zapbox&quot; by Simon Taylor (Zappar Co-founder and Chief R&amp;D Officer): Join for an exclusive first look at Zappar’s new smartphone-powered mixed reality headset, Zapbox.</li></ul><ul><li>&quot;Express Introduction to DOTS&quot; by Nicolas Alejandro Borromeo (Senior Software Development Consultant for Unity): Learn the Unity&#x27;s ECS core concepts to start your journey towards scaling Unity games to millions of entities.</li><li>&quot;Turning our game into a platform: the first year&quot; by Shaz Yousaf (Co-founder and game designer at Mind Feast Games): Let&#x27;s make a fun co-op game. Nice. Now let&#x27;s add &quot;Jackbox style&quot; networked web controllers. Cool. How about we convert the C# gameplay code to LUA so players can mod *the entire game* (at runtime). What could go wrong?</li></ul>
