Day One focuses on challenges, best practice and innovative solutions of games companies, universities and colleges including remote working, 4 day working weeks, and pastoral care of students and staff. It investigates the skills games companies are struggling to recruit from educational institutions and asks how industry can help educators train talent to be ready for the workplace. Day Two brings in diverse young developers and students to discuss their experiences of education, recruitment and early games careers.
Educators consistently report that they have changed universities’ curricula as a result of discussions at previous GamesEd Summits.
GamesEd22 is produced by the BGI, a charity which transforms lives with games.
GamesEd22 is the fourth in an annual series of conferences to support games educators and developers, enabling more collaboration, dialogue and best practice sharing between Further and Higher Education organisations and the games industry.
