<p>In this session we will briefly explore how to exploit some of the meaningful and purposeful synergies between mathematics and language, with a particular focus on using game-based learning (GBL) as a vehicle for CLIL.  Some of the key research in the field of mathematics and language learning and GBL will be signposted, alongside some practical examples of how these principles might be applied within a CLIL context.  Participants will also have an opportunity to learn more about our current Erasmus+ project, ‘Gamifying CLIL within a mathematical context,’ along with details of how they can find out more about our work and how they might be able to participate if interested. This talk will be of particular interest and benefit to secondary teachers, PGCE secondary trainee teachers and university ITT trainers.</p>
