Our Education and Development Team builds on our island wide reputation of providing professional care and services to members of our community who need healthcare or support.  Our team are from a wide range of professional backgrounds including Adult and Children’s Nursing, Specialist Nursing, Health Visiting and Safeguarding.  We provide training to approved care providers, organisations and  individuals to support regulation, clinical practice and care.We offer a wide range of courses which are delivered by high quality and credible professionals who are fully qualified and accredited to teach the topics.We are regulated by the Jersey Care Commission; all the training we deliver is compliant with their Standards, in addition to national frameworks and guidance. This enables organisations to remain compliant with relevant regulations and keep their teams up to date. Bespoke packages can be delivered on request. Courses are easy to access and run throughout the year.Bookings can be made via Eventbrite or by contacting us directly  via email EducationandDevelopment@fnhc.org.jePRIVACY STATEMENT – The information collected during the booking of any Family Nursing & Home Care education event will be used by us to update our training & attendance records, and the data will be stored on a secure portal where access is restricted to the our Education & Development Team. Attendees must have completed their medication module prior to attendanceGastrostomy (PEG) Training – Knowledge-Based Study SessionThis study session provides care staff with essential knowledge and understanding of gastrostomy (PEG) feeding and care. It is a theory-only session and does not include competency sign‑off. Competency assessments must be completed by the delegating registered nurse within the relevant care agency.This session is suitable for care providers who have a registered nurse responsible for delegation and oversight.Course Content· Understand legislation and agreed ways of working when using extended feeding techniques· Understand anatomy and physiology in relation to extended feeding· Understand extended feeding techniques· Be able to manage risks relating to extended feeding
