Welcome to GCSE Physics: Energy!

Come join us on Tue 17th June 2025 at St Clement Danes School

This course will support you with effective teaching and learning at GCSE level in physics. Common student misconceptions, the key substantive knowledge as well as practical techniques will be investigated, with ample hands-on practice to hone your approach to student learning.


Topics covered are: Energy changes in a system, kinetic energy, potential energy, thermal energy , electrical energy, energy calculations, conservation and dissipation, efficiency, work done, power, calculations, formulas, problem solving and practical demonstrations.


Outcomes

The CPD will:

  • develop teaching skills and pedegogy for teaching Energy
  • ensure greater confidence in the subject knowledge of Energy
  • resource you with ideas for practical work and way to teach the mathematical content
