The Medical and Dental Defence Union of Scotland

This interactive full day workshop will focus on how the new GDPR and Data protection Act 2018 is ‘bedding in’ one year on. As well as exploring practical application issues the workshop will focus on key areas such as understanding your personal information through data mapping, and undertaking a data impact assessment to understand your risks.
There will also be an opportunity to reflect on how specific arrangements for managing subject access requests and identifying and reporting data security breaches are working in practice.
The workshop is aimed at both data controllers and indeed anyone who has a management responsibility for the processing of personal data, and is suitable for both medical and dental environments. It is open to both MDDUS members and non-members.
Registration and coffee will be available from 09:30 with the course starting promptly at 10:00.
A sandwich lunch will be available.
The course provides five hours of MDDUS verified CPD.
