Chirpy is a contemporary gift shop & workshop space located in Chapel Allerton, LeedsPlease be aware there are some small steps leading up to Chirpy and also upstairs to the workshop spaceParking is limited to 1 hour outside of Chirpy before 6pm Monday - Saturday. Parking on Harrogate Road is unlimited further up Harrogate Road (past Pout Beauty)We aim to make our workshops as accessible as possible to everyone, however if you have any special requirements or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0113 2660062 or hello@chirpystore.co.ukWhen you book on a Chirpy Workshop* you’ll get a stamp on your virtual Workshop Loyalty card - collect 8 stamps and get you 9th* FREE (*applies to workshops booked via Chirpy not those booked direct with workshop provider)Chirpy Workshop Refund PolicyIf you are unable to attend the workshop and cancel more than 7 days before the workshop date we will refund you the cost of the workshop via the same payment method you have book by.If you cancel within 7 days of the workshop we won’t be able to automatically refund your ticket price as we will have incurred material costs etc. However if we manage to resell your ticket via our waiting list & social media we will offer you a transfer or a refund.If we aren’t able to resell your ticket will only be able to transfer you to the next workshop which has spaces available after the closing dates for ticket sales.

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring Gelli Print Workshop where you’ll explore the fun and addictive art of gel plate printing.Using simple tools, vibrant paints, textures, and plants, you’ll learn how to layer colours and patterns to produce unique prints on paper. About the workshop providers: Lynn is a textiles, art, and design technology teacher who has been inspiringpeople of all ages and abilities since 2009. Alongside her teaching, she creates herown artwork, drawing inspiration from pattern, nature, the world around her and thefascinating lives of others. She works across many mediums, but the varying formsof printmaking have always been her greatest passion and where she most enjoysguiding others to discover their own creative voice. The workshops she co runs arehands-on, welcoming, and designed to make creativity feel accessible, joyful, andfun.Community and collaboration are important to Lynn. She creates opportunities forpeople to connect through shared making, encouraging them to express theirstories and experiences through art. One project involved guiding students tocreate textile pieces reflecting their experiences of Covid. Their work became partof the ‘Threads of Survival’ community project in Hyde Park, where it wastransformed into quilts and toured the country as part of a national exhibition.Through the workshops, Lynn offers a welcoming, hands-on space where creativitycan grow, confidence can flourish, and everyone is invited to explore the joy ofcreating.Emma Digby is a practising printmaker and experienced educator who has been teaching since 2006. Alongside her work in education, she maintains an active practice, working across a wide range of printmaking techniques and embracing the hands-on, exploratory nature of the medium. She also enjoys using inks, foil and collage.She has extensive experience teaching printmaking skills to learners of all ages and abilities, with a particular strength in making processes accessible, supportive, and enjoyable. Her teaching is rooted in a strong understanding of materials, process, and creative confidence-building.Emma’s work is inspired by a rich mix of influences, including font and the natural world. These themes emerge in her prints through symbolism, pattern, shadows, and a sense of wonder, reflecting a deep love of storytelling, curiosity, and close observation.
