Clinical Professionals working in Oncology are invited to GenesisCare's Annual Symposium on 28th February to 1st March, co-sponsored by Elekta.This year's focus is on how advances in cancer biology and systemic therapy are moving hand-in-hand with progress in adaptive radiotherapy. We will examine this in the context of metastatic disease, gastro-intestinal cancer, lung cancer and reirradiation.In addition, there are two practical workshops the day before the main meeting on Multidisciplinary Spinal Oncology and Prostate SABR, hosted and delivered by our Clinical Reference Group and running simultaneously. <h3>28th February Workshops 11am - 5pm: Fully Booked </h3><h4>(limited spaces, only available to people who book the main symposium on 1st March) Please choose ONE workshop when registering: </h4><ul><li>Prostate SABR: Including contouring exercises, benefits of adaption and prostate re-irradiation</li><li>Spinal Oncology: Overview of the evidence for spinal SABR, spine irradiation workflows and complex case reviews </li></ul> <h3>1st March Main SABR Symposium 9.00am - 5pm:</h3> 6 CPD points are available for each day. Keynote Speakers

Dr Nina Sanford, Associate Professor and Chief of Gastrointestinal Radiation Oncology Service at UT Southwestern’s Department of Radiation Oncology Service at UT Southwestern Dallas. Dr Sanford trained at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. She treats patients with gastrointestinal cancers and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Oncology. She is Chief Investigator of the NRG GI-011 study and also has research interests in cancer disparities and outcomes research.



Dr Nina Niu Sanford, Chief of the Gastrointestinal Radiation Oncology Service 

Dr Himnashu Nagar, Director of the Genitourinary Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in caring for patients with genitourinary malignancies. He has lead multiple studies on the role of MR-guided adaptive radiotherapy in prostate cancer and is the recipient of numerous honours, including the Physician of the Year Award from New York-Presbyterian Hospital along with multiple research grants, scholarships and awards. He is actively involved in both translational and clinical research. Dr Nagar is focused on better defining and tailoring the role of radiation therapy for prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. 

Dr Himanshu Nagar, Director of the Genitourinary Program

Prof Mariam Jamal-Hanjani, Clinical Scientist and Group Leader, CRUK Lung Cancer Centre of Excellence at the UCL Cancer Institute in London. She studied theoretical physics and medicine at University College London and is a thoracic medical oncologist. Her research is focussed on the biological processes driving metastatic disease, including genomic drivers of tumour dissemination, tumour- and host-initiated mediators of catabolic states suggestive of cachexia, and failure of the adaptive immune system. 

Professor Mariam Jamal-Hanjani,  Clinical Scientist and Group Leader, CRUK

Dr Tom Newsom-Davis, Consultant in Medical Oncology at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, where he specialises in and leads the service for thoracic malignancies. Dr Newsom-Davis is Chair Elect of the British Thoracic Oncology Group Steering Committee and has been elected to the Multidisciplinary Clinical Science Committee of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC). He has an active clinical trials portfolio, has published his work widely, and has also presented his work at a large number of international meetings. He has been an invited lecturer for various organisations including the Royal College of Physicians, European Society of Medical Oncology, IASLC, British Medical Association and the Association of Cancer Physicians. Dr Newsom-Davis. His work on Acute Diagnostic Oncology Clinics has previously been awarded with a Macmillan Innovation Excellence Award.
