George Edmund Street Bicentenary Symposium - Day 1
George Edmund Street, one of the greatest Victorian architects, is most famous for building London's Royal Courts of Justice. St James the Less, his first London church, is an architectural gem in Pimlico. After 160 years, the coloured brick and creamy stone are dull from smog and pollution. The Friends of St James the Less Restoration Committee are keen to return the church to its original splendour and aim to raise the funds needed through these Bicentenary events.
