This summer, ditch the car, grab your bike and join us for a series of FREE family fun days in parks across Portsmouth!

Get fitter, explore more of the city, or just enjoy a great day out with the family - there's something for everyone!

We're sorry to let you know that our Get Active event at Paulsgrove Park onThursday 14 August has been cancelled due to an Amber Heat Health Alert issued by the UK Health Security Agency and the Met Office.------------------Discover the benefits of swapping car journeys for greener, cleaner ways to travel like walking and cycling or riding a rental e-scooter. One lucky person will also win a bike, lock and helmet in our prize draw.

There’s loads for you to do, whatever your age, with a range of stalls and activities focused on living a healthier, more active lifestyle. <ul><li>Children can improve their riding skills on our children’s obstacle course, with bikes and helmets provided </li><li>Learn how to ride a bike on practice cycles we can provide - all ages welcome! </li><li>Enter our prize draw to win a new bike and accessories </li><li>Get your bike checked out by our qualified Bike Doctors from GC Bikes, with free minor repairs and safety checks </li><li>Have your bike security marked for free with Bike Register, and get road safety advice from Hampshire Police </li><li>Get up to 50% off pre-loved bikes from Portsmouth Cycle Exchange (maximum discount £50 with a maximum purchase of £250). </li><li>Free face painting for everyone – choose from one of our <a href="https://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/services/parking-roads-and-travel/travel/pompey-monster-walk-to-school-challenge-2019/" title="https://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/services/parking-roads-and-travel/travel/pompey-monster-walk-to-school-challenge-2019/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Pompey Monster</a> designs! </li><li>Free inflatable slide! </li><li>Get healthy activities advice from our Health and Wellbeing team. </li><li>Walking, cycling and road safety advice from the council’s safer travel team, plus free giveaways </li><li>Mix a delicious healthy smoothie with pedal power on our smoothie bike!</li></ul>
