Overview

This 2 hour face to face event will help employers to understand the benefits of Apprenticeships and provide information on providers and funding to help you get started.

Who is this event for?

This event is for SME's and other employers that would like to find out more about Apprenticeships. Employers that have recruited through the Kickstart Scheme will also benefit as we discuss the transition from Kickstart to an Apprenticeship.

Benefits of recruiting Apprentices can include:

• Apprentices are able to gain a qualification while in work – so it supports retention and progression in work
• Training can be funded, so no cost to the employer e.g. via an Apprenticeship Levy transfer
• An apprenticeship can be for anyone in work or a new recruit
• If recruiting someone new to the business – the apprenticeship salary is considered a training salary so lower than the NMW – may be more financially viable.
• The government is offering £3,000 incentive to any employer hiring an new apprentice
