The training covers:· What is meant by Age Friendly· Research and local information on the older population in Middlesbrough · The physical and psychological aspects of ageing, as well as implications for our town and its services/businesses through local case studies · Suggestions of how to support older people to age better in our community, including mental health, sight / hearing loss, chronic disease, dementia, mobility, and the effects of medicationThe session lasts for 3 hours and is delivered by Public Health South Tees. The training session is interactive, and the views and opinions of the participants are encouraged and welcomed."The first half of the session was emotionally charged, and I am still reeling from it.
