- Understand the governance responsibilities of trustees or committee members in relation to funding.
- Understand how your charity’s purpose and priorities align with funding opportunities.
- Be able to say who will benefit and how.
- Ensure budgets, controls, and key policies are in place.
- Identify gaps in readiness and create a short improvement plan.
