Join Stephen Herron, a highly experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over 30 years of clinical practice, for a full-day skills-based workshop on Behavioural Activation (BA). Stephen has taught on the BABCP-accredited course in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at Queen's Unversity, Belfast for over 20 years and is the former Chairperson of the Irish Assocation for Behavioural & Cognitive Pscyhotherapies (IABCP).

Stephen Herron is BABCP accredited and this workshop will provide 6 CPD hours for BABCP and NMC.


What does it involve?

Behavioural Activation is a structured, evidence-based psyhotherapeutic approach that helps patients increase engagement in adaptive activities, decrease engagement in activities that maintain depression, and overcome barriers to activation. The worskop will equip you with practical skills to implement BA in your clinical practice. The practical, interactive training will cover both the theory and application of BA, designed for practitioners seeking to expand their clinical toolkit with an evidence-based approach that is both accessible and effective for treating depression and related conditions. The day will include video demonstrations of BA techniques and hands-on exercises designed to equip practitioners with the skills needed to successfully integrate BA into their clinical work.
