Getting Ready for Trade – advice for designer makers

Design-Nation has a long history of supporting designer makers to investigate trade markets and showcase their products at trade fairs in the UK and overseas. This session will provide vital information for those considering a trade fair route for their business and will include:

• Which trade fair? An introduction to the different options, including Top Drawer, British Craft Trade Fair, Decorex International, Maison & Objet, NY Now
• Top tips for applying for trade fairs
• Preparing for trade – pricing, display, paperwork, marketing
• Case studies

This is an opportunity for you to learn more and have all your questions about trade fairs answered, during the group session or on a one-to-one basis with Hayley during the afternoon. Also learn more about Design-Nation and the opportunities and support available for designer makers, including a proposed new DN cluster group in Cornwall.

After the morning's workshop and a networking lunch, there will also be limited places available for you to have a one-to-one consultation session with Hayley Banks.

Hayley Banks manages the portfolio of designers makers that make up Design-Nation’s membership. As Membership & Programme Manager, Hayley works closely with creative practitioners to provide one–to-one mentoring, business and marketing support and to identify and create opportunities for designers and makers to exhibit and sell their work.

Scheduling Information
