Join our UKRI/ESRC Funded Getting Started with Engaged Scholarship Session - Professor Julia Rouse and Dr Helen Woolnough, MMU

The Engaged Scholarship Learning Lab is being funded by UKRI/ESRC and run in partnership with BAM. We will build capacity for academics and practitioners to work together to exchange knowledge, design research projects together, test ideas and reflect on the implications of findings to address &#x27;tricky&#x27; problems in their contexts.Come along to our Getting Started with Engaged Scholarship Session on Wednesday 26th January (09:30-10:30 on MS Teams) to learn about why Engaged Scholarship matters and how it can help you with publishing, attracting funding, creating impact and teaching.You will hear more about the methodology and have a chance to reflect on accelerating your journey as an Engaged Scholar. We’ll also tell you how to get involved in our full programme of events and our growing community in the Engaged Scholarship Learning Lab.MS Teams Link will be sent to registered delegates.The 3 benefits of the event:-	Learn more about Engaged Scholarship as a method for engaging research and practice/policy.-	Hear about how the Engaged Scholarship Learning Lab will develop the capacity of researchers to conduct Engaged Scholarship.-	Consider joining the Engaged Scholarship Learning Lab to become part of a community of practice and to engage in a series of events.Professor Julia Rouse is Director of the Good Employment Learning Lab, an ESRC-funded project that is part of the ME-EP initiative. She uses an Engaged-Activist methodology to work with a range of stakeholders to use and develop knowledge to tackle tricky social problems. Julia seeks to advance knowledge and practice in decent work in entrepreneurship, small firms and organisations, with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion. Dr Helen Woolnough is Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is working with Prof Julia Rouse on the UKRI/ESRC funded Good Employment Learning Lab and the Engaged Scholarship Learning Lab. Helen’s work seeks to utilise an Engaged-Activist Approach to create better routes to leadership for marginalised employees.
