GCULearn Ultra is here! The latest refresh to the new Blackboard Ultra Base Navigation brings a wealth of improvements for staff and students. This new navigation has a sleek, modern look and feel that will save staff and students time with simpler workflows and easier access to relevant information. In this session, we will take you on a guided tour of the new Ultra interface and demonstrate the new features and navigation structure and there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session 
What is Ultra Base Navigation? 
It is a modern, intuitive navigation menu that lives outside of modules. It includes links to new pages such as the Activity Stream, Calendar, Messages, Marks that provide quick access to the most critical information consolidated from modules. 
What does this mean for GCU Staff and Students? 
• GCULearn modules will not change. They will look and operate precisely as they do now.  
• After the refresh, staff and students will see the new navigation as soon as they log into GCULearn. 
• The new navigation provides an efficient and timesaving way to access important information in GCULearn. 
How will this enhance your efficiency and the user experience? 
• Ultra introduces a modern, intuitive user experience: Staff and students will enjoy this simple, intuitive, engaging user experience. 
• Less clicks…introducing ‘Activity Stream’:  If a staff member or student sees something that needs their attention via their ‘Activity Stream’, they can click on it and will be taken directly there, minimising clicks and saving time.   
• It’s mobile ready: Ultra Base Navigation is designed to work well on all personal devices. 
• Aggregation of important information: All module and Community information like calendar, grades, messaging are now consolidated into one global view, minimising the time spent navigating into each module.
