Wikimedia UKis the UK chapter for the global Wikimedia movement. A registered charity, its mission is to support and advocate for the development of open knowledge, working in partnership with volunteers, the cultural and education sectors and other organisations to make knowledge available, usable and reusable online.Wiki Loves Monumentsis an annual event which takes place across the globe every September. The competition is designed to bring together people who value their local historic environment with amateur and professional photographers alike to capture images of the world’s historic monuments.

An online workshop to help you take part in the world's largest photography competition.

Wiki Loves Monuments is an international photography competition celebrating history by sharing it through Wikipedia. Anyone can take part by sharing photos of historic sites at any point in September.This remote workshop will show you how to submit your photos to the UK competition. If you missed our first workshop on 3 September, this is your chance to catch up!We will cover what you take photos of, how to submit your photos, and the tools to help you take part.
