GGTP #69: Communicating Science
Sun 9 April 2017, 12:00 – 14:00 BST
Plenty of people work in science and technology - but there's also a whole industry of people whose job is to communicate science to the public, and to a variety of audiences.
We'll be joined by Dr Marieke Navin, whose career in science outreach has included directing Manchester Science Festival and the Star Field at Bluedot Festival, as well as other people who work in, or are starting out in the field of public engagement.
We'll have information about opportunities for you to go and watch/take part in science events, and information about how you can get involved with outreach yourself. Plus we'll get our guests to bring along some fun hands-on science activities for you to play with!
This event will also include lunch - we'll be getting in tasty pizzas - and will take place on the ground floor at MadLab, which is fully accessible. We'll also have our usual tea and coffee on tap!
