Overview

Introduction to Ghost Stories With Hannah Simpson

👻 Ghost Story Writing Workshop

Create. Imagine. Perform.

Join us for a creative and immersive Ghost Story Writing Workshop, where you’ll explore storytelling, imagination, and performance in a relaxed and supportive space.

This session is designed to help you unlock your creativity, build confidence in storytelling, and have fun experimenting with ideas — whether you love writing, performing, or simply trying something new.

✨ What to Expect

We’ll begin by exploring the foundations of a great ghost story, including:

  • Structure and storytelling techniques
  • Perspective and voice
  • Gothic themes and atmosphere

You’ll then take part in a series of fun and interactive activities:

  • Sharing and retelling ghost stories in small groups
  • Bringing stories to life through performance and physicality
  • A guided free-writing exercise to spark creativity
  • Developing your own ghost story — from a single idea to an outline or opening

There will also be time to reflect, share, and connect with others in a supportive environment.

🌿 Who is this for?

  • Women who enjoy writing or storytelling
  • Those looking to build confidence in creative expression
  • Anyone curious to try something new in a welcoming space

No writing or performance experience is needed — just come as you are.

📝 What to Bring

  • A notebook or paper
  • A pen
  • An open mind and imagination

💜 What You’ll Leave With

  • A deeper understanding of storytelling
  • Your own ghost story (or the beginnings of one!)
  • Increased confidence in expressing your ideas
  • A fun and memorable creative experience
