Overview

Join us for an evening of local talent, art, heritage and street food after hours.

Part of a series of late night events at God's House Tower, GHT Lates is an opportunity to explore the building by night while enjoying live performances from some of the South's best musicians.

🌙🎶 Live Music:

Dan O'Farrell

Described as 'erudite, morose and challenging' and 'arguably Southampton's finest song-writer', Dan O'Farrell writes and sings folk songs of love, loss and Shakespeare. Dan is involved in numerous projects and has thrilled festival crowds at IOW Festival, Wickham, Rustic Stomp & Victorious. As well as supporting such luminaries as the Levelellers, Wreckless Eric, Mott The Hoople and John Power.

He's just recorded his new album with his band, The Difference Engine, called The Fish That Learned To Drown. This is out on 22nd January 2026. Available to pre-order.

Tim Holehouse

For the past 20 years Tim Holehouse has been touring the globe, like a stone gathering no moss has brought influences as varying to his sound today. Breaking the 250-300 gig mark most years, Tim leads somewhat of a nomadic existence, but for all intents and purposes, treats London as his home when not out plying his trade to international and domestic audiences.

Tim is equally prolific with his recording as he is with his travels, when not gigging his way round the US, Canada, Japan, Iceland, Australia or Europe, he has found the time to release 21 albums and countless split releases, often with artists he tours with.

Tim's own sound is hugely varied too, often able to adapt to performing sets depending on the atmosphere of a show. He has been known to release folk, blues, experimental music and much more besides, often on a single tour. Tim's songs come from a place of honesty and a keen ear for anything creative regardless of genre. His own philosophy is that, 'if music is good, it's just good, right?'

J Fashole-Luke

J Fashole-Luke is a multi instrumentalist who is in high demand particularly for live piano performances. He has performed all over Europe at Jazz Festivals (including Montreaux, Vienne, North Sea, Swanage and Vienna Jazz Festivals and in UK at Glastonbury, Bestival, Boomtown, Shambala, Hyde Park and Isle Of Wight Festivals), as well as many other public performances and private engagements. During this time J has performed with top British jazz artists including Gary Crosby, Jay Phelps, Tony Kofi and has even jammed with American jazz legends Marcus Miller, Isaiah Sharkey and the late great Roy Hargrove. He has also had multiple appearances at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, performed live on BBC2’s Later…with Jools Holland and has collaborated with household names such as Alexandra Burke, Dolly Parton and Usher.

JFL’s original music draws from a wide range of influence across many genres and this show provides a heady blend of striking melodies, unusual time signatures, imaginative harmonies and driving rhythms. His accompanists Lewis Treasure (bass) and Ted Carrasco (drums) are highly accomplished intuitive and virtuosic musicians who really bring his ideas to life in full colour.

🌶️ Local Food Truck:

We’re excited to welcome the Chilli Chain for the evening, serving freshly homemade chilli and nachos, with both beef and vegan options available.
