GI 2020 Open Programme Info Session and Theme Announcement

Glasgow International is a world-renowned biennial festival of contemporary art. Glasgow International showcases the best of local and international art for wide-ranging audiences.The festival will continue to showcase Glasgow as a unique major centre for the production and display of contemporary visual art. Taking place in various venues and locations across the city, including Glasgow’s major art spaces and cultural institutions, the Festival will be comprised of an ambitious programme which includes exhibitions, events, talks, performances and projects by international and Glasgow-based artists.

For the next festival in 2020, GI is making some changes to how the open strand of its programme works. Please join us for this info session, which will introduce prospective applicants to what these are and what they will mean.   We will also announce the theme of the 2020 festival and talk through some of the key ideas and areas of focus. Applicants can choose to incorporate the theme if they wish but this is not essential.
