Gilded Monoprints using Natural Forms - Art Workshop

Join artist Laura Villares House in this beautiful gallery space for a small-group printing workshop. We will:

• Explore monoprinting using Gelli plates with a range of natural forms such as fresh leaves and pressed flowers to make beautifully textured, unique layered prints
• Learn how to use liquid size and gilding foil on your prints to create golden accents to your designs
• Make a selection of special hand-made greetings cards to take home with you

• An artist's tour of the exhibition on display in the gallery, featuring a range of nature-inspired artworks.

All are welcome - no prior experience in printmaking is necessary.

Please bring an overall/old shirt, or wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit painty. You may wish to bring a folder/hard back book to bring your prints home with you after the session. All materials will be provided, but if you have any interesting (flat) natural objects which you'd like to feature on your prints (eg feathers, leaves/flowers from your garden), feel free to bring them!
