BackgroundGit and GitHub are not only for software engineers, but they can be invaluable tools for data analysts and statisticians too. Git and GitHub can help to make operational data analysis processes more reproducible, auditable and transparent. About the event Alice Byers will give an introductory overview of Git and GitHub and how they are being used in the Scottish Government when developing Reproducible Analytical Pipelines (RAP). They will give a brief overview of some of the functionality within GitHub for collaborative code development and sharing your projects.
