David was also the man behind the success of Leo Sayer and co-wrote many of his international hits including ‘The show must go on’ ‘One man band’ ‘Long tall glasses’ (I can dance), ‘Giving it all away’ the hit single from Roger Daltrey’s debut solo album ‘Daltrey’ and many other works such as ‘Shooting star’ and ‘Who were you with in the moonlight’ for UK 80’s pop duo ‘Dollar’ and ‘Magic Touch’ a top 20 hit for the US disco band ‘Odyssey’

David Courtney has numerous entrees in various "Rock Music Encyclopedias". Platinum, Gold and Silver Disc Awards representing the millions of records sold worldwide. ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers) awards and a Grammy nomination.

David is also the Founder of the Walk of Fame cultural attractions in the UK which follow in the tradition of its famous 'Hollywood' predecessor.

In his new autobiography Giving it all Away’ David speaks candidly about his life journey in and outside of music which reads like a film script having seemingly crammed 10 lives into one.

The book features a series of QR codes which allow the reader to hear snippets of selected music tracks relating to various stories throughout the book including un-released demo’s of well known songs giving an insight into his extraordinary life journey which has had more twist and turns than a soap opera.

The evening will feature David in conversation with Rick Mayston talking about his fascinating life journey highlighting his early days growing up in Brighton and his close association with various Sussex towns such as Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing and personal connections with Angmering and Tangmere.

What is the nearest Railway Station?

Angmering is around 20 minutes walk away, or a number 9 bus will take you from there to Whitfield Close - about a 2 minute walk from the club
