Glasgow Azure User Group #51
A evening of learning and networking
5:45pm – 6:00pm Registration
6:00pm – 7:00pm
We’re excited to announce that our next meetup will take place on 25th February. This session will be a panel discussion, featuring three industry experts and expertly chaired by Nicola Gallacher.
Who is on the panel?
Kenny Lowe
Kenny is the Cloud Platforms Evangelism and Enablement Lead at Dell, as well as a Microsoft Regional Director, Azure MVP and NVIDIA Enterprise Platform Advisor. He brings a wealth of experience across cloud platforms, hybrid cloud, and Azure Local, and will offer valuable insight from both vendor and customer perspectives.
Alaine Miller
Alaine is a Software Engineering Team Lead at the BBC with over 22 years’ experience across the tech industry. Her career spans roles including analyst, tester, and software engineer, giving her a broad, hands-on perspective on modern software development. She’s also been deeply involved in the tech community as a co-organiser of Ladies of Code Glasgow and the BBC Tech Meetup.
Dieter Gobeyn
Dieter is a Microsoft MVP for Azure and a TOGAF-certified IT architect. He specialises in designing scalable enterprise architectures, with a focus on domain-driven design and practical cloud governance. Dieter helps organisations simplify complex landscapes, align business domains, and build integration strategies that work across countries and teams. He also speaks at events on cloud architecture, enterprise integration, and lessons learned from modernising systems and adopting AI.
What to expect
This will be a highly interactive session, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from the panel about their experiences and perspectives. We encourage you to ask questions on the night, but if that’s not your thing, you can submit questions in advance via a form. Nicola will read these out to the panel during the discussion.
This is an in-person session and will not be recorded.
