About this event

On September 15th, Maggie's will be hosting a Glass Walk event!

This event is being held at the Maggie’s Oxford Centre from 5pm - 8pm. We will be joined by the UK Firewalk team who will be giving a introduction and training brief before the event, just before they lay the broken glass over the LED walkway and let you take it away.

There will be music and a raffle. All the proceeds will go to Maggie's Oxford. There will be plenty of prizes to win from experiences to wine and other goodies.

Everyone who signs up will be given a free Maggie's t-shirt to do the walk with and there will be a photographer taking pictures for the evening.

There will be food and drinks on the evening of the event in Kitchen area of Maggie’s Oxford.

The fundraising target for each participant is £150.00.

Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.

Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie's centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need.

Our centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.

The first Maggie’s opened in Edinburgh in 1996 and since then Maggie’s has continued to grow, with 26 centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK and abroad.
