A weekend

A weekend

Experience the raw beauty and legendary ridgelines of Glencoe National Nature Reserve on this guided mountain running weekend. Over two epic days, we’ll aim to summit six of Glencoe NNR's eight Munros, linking together summits of the mighty Bidean nam Bian massif (Bidean nam Bian & Stob Coire Sgreamhach; towering above the famous Three Sisters of Glencoe) and the shapely 'Four Buachailles' (the two summits of iconic Buachaille Etive Mor, Scotlands most photographed mountain, along with the twin peaks of it's little cousin, Buachaille Etive Beag);

  • Bidean nam Bian 1150 m
  • Stob Coire Sgreamhach 1070 m
  • Stob Dearg (on Buachaille Etive Mòr)1022 m
  • Stob na Broige (on Buachaille Etive Mòr) 955 m
  • Stob Dubh (on Buachaille Etive Beag) 958 m
  • Stob Coire Raineach (on Buachaille Etive Beag) 924 m

Expect steep climbs, airy ridges, fast descents and views that capture the very spirit of the West Highlands. This is mountain running at its most inspiring — dramatic, challenging, and deeply rewarding.

Our experienced mountain running guides will lead you safely through this jawdropping landscape, sharing route knowledge and tips for moving efficiently in technical terrain.

Founders of Girls on Hills, Keri and Nancy, both live in Glencoe and have been guiding group runs in these mountains for over 8 years. As a local mountain leader, Keri was a Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team volunteer for 4 years and Nancy has lived in the village and run in these hills for over 35 years. We are proud to call Glencoe our home and look forward to sharing its beauty and history with likeminded women.
