Global SciComm ONLINE meet-up and discussion about evidence-based, strategic Science Communication with Jon Chase  and John Besley

In February 2023, more than 200 science communicators from across the globe joined free online workshops about Global relevance in Science Communication and Justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) in Science Communication. The workshops were part of the EU funded GlobalSCAPE project and have been made freely available as an open access resource, so anybody can download and adapt them.T﻿o sum up the experience of running the workshops their creator and facilitator Jon Chase will be joined by one of the project&#x27;s advisory board members, John Besley, to discuss the workshops and the importance of evidence and strategy within Science Communication. John Besley is Ellis N. Brandt Chair of Public Relations at Michigan State University and recently co-authored the book, Strategic Science Communication.A﻿n overwhelming response from participants of the workshops was that we should have more opportunities for colleagues across the world to meet up and share their thoughts and experiences of science communication. We absolutely agree! Which is why after the initial symposium, we have also arranged an opportunity for global science communicators to join in a session to talk more with each other about global relevance and JEDI in science communication, as well as the importance of building communication strategies based on evidence. S﻿o WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO ATTEND THIS FREE ONLINE SESSION and TO MEET WITH GLOBAL COLLEAGUES in Science Communication. There are only 300 spaces available.
