Glow worm walk

Glow worm walk

Overview

Step into this unassuming suburb of Leeds and discover something extra ordinary - glow worms!

These special beetles have made their home in Townclose Hills nature reserve for many years now, and you can experience the magic of the glow worms on this guided night-time walk.

This Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) gives a stunning show of wildflowers, thanks to its magnesian limestone soil. The woodland is traditionally coppiced with managed scrub which is adding to its appeal for nesting birds.

Please be aware this walk will be at least 2km and will include some steep sections.
