Going the Rounds 2019

The Thomas Hardy Society is an educational Charity founded in 1968 with the intention of promoting public knowledge and understanding of the life and works of the Dorset poet and novelist to anyone with an interest in Thomas Hardy anywhere in the world. It is a Society as much for the lay-enthusiast as the scholar, student or general reader.

Going the RoundsThorncombe Wood Car Park, Dorset. Saturday 21st December: Going the Rounds6.00 pm: Meet at Thorncombe Wood Car Park (NGR SY724922). Led by Tim Laycock and The Madding Crowd – a walk recreating the route of The Mellstock Quire as described in Under the Greenwood Tree with appropriate readings and carols along the route to Mellstock Church (St Michael’s, Stinsford).
