About this event

    This webinar will provide existing and prospective carers such as foster carers and supported lodgings host with the information they need to start providing care and support to separated migrant young people. By the end of the webinar, you will:


    • Familiarise yourself with the demographic characteristics of young individuals who require care,
    • Understand why young people might leave home,
    • Understand how young people can become separated,
    • Have an understanding of some common migration routes to the UK,
    • Gain insight into welcoming and supporting young people who are newly arrived in the UK,
    • Be able to identify and meet young people’s immediate needs.
