Overview

Confused by Google Analytics? You're not alone.

Join us for a carefully-paced course that will answer these questions:

  • How do I use Google Analytics to increase website traffic?
  • What are the most valuable reports?
  • Which Google Analytics (GA) metrics matter most?

We'll work together to make sense of GA. You’ll get lots of opportunities to ask questions.

About the trainer

I'm James, a GA consultant based in Thame (near Oxford) in the UK. I've been using the package for 20 years. I've had a long career in digital, which has included working for the BBC and the University of Oxford (where I regularly ran training courses).

My mission is to help people make the most of GA. I write regularly about the subject on the Analytics Unpacked website.

I take a low-carbon approach to business.

About the approach

I like learning to be effective, varied, and enjoyable. There will be practical exercises and group discussion. Big groups can stifle conversation, so I keep the number of attendees to 6 or less.

I provide a month of support via email for any questions you have after the course.

Essential info

Training is: 9:30am-1pm (UK) on Wednesday 16th September.

We’ll meet via Zoom. Remote training saves you travel time and reduces the price of the course.

In this course, you'll be exploring real-life stats. To take part you must have a GA account. Create one for free here.

You’ll also need access to GA data for a website. That data will be used for the exercises in the course. Don’t worry, you won’t have to share any stats with other attendees. You'll be asked to provide a link to that website as part of the booking process.

To take part in the course, you'll also need:

  • A laptop or desktop computer with access to Zoom
  • A webcam (which may be built-in to the computer)
  • A microphone (which may be built-in to the computer)
  • A stable internet connection
  • An environment where you can concentrate on learning

You can pay for the course by invoice or by credit card. Choose the method that's most convenient for you.
