Event description

Description

You are invited to a Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) masterclass with the former chief executive of the Scottish Football Association Gordon Smith.

Gordon, a graduate of GCU, played football for Rangers, Kilmarnock, and Brighton and Hove Albion, and had spells in Switzerland and Austria.

Now working as a football analyst on BBC Radio Scotland’s Sportsound, he has been a football agent and was Director of Football at Rangers FC.

Gordon will visit GCU on Tuesday, February 6, to talk about the importance of psychology in sport.

During the masterclass, he will focus on the role psychology plays in all sports, including football, tennis and golf, and will include anecdotes from his own career as well as insights from the university scholarship system in America.

Light refreshments will be served after the masterclass.
