An evening of original games inspired by your favourite gothic stories.

Join us for a chance to revisit—and reinvent—your favourite gothic tales. First, test your knowledge with a round of Gothic Lit Trivia, played in teams, pub-quiz style. Next, immerse yourself in a life-size board game called Save Kent from Dracula, where teams compete to get their bubbles to safety amidst the twin threats of a vampire invasion and a global pandemic. Finally, play for laughs as you rearrange iconic scenes from famous novels past and present in Create Your Own Gothic Mash-Up. This event is part of the Being Human festival, the UK's only national festival of the humanities, taking place 11-20 November 2021. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. #beinghuman2021
