The Controlled Schools' Support Council is the sectoral body for controlled schools in Northern Ireland.The controlled education sector is the largest, most diverse education sector in Northern Ireland (49% of all schools) across all phases which include: nursery, special, primary, secondary, grammar, integrated and Irish medium schools.CSSC’s vision is to empower controlled schools to serve their communities by enriching the lives of their children and young people.

Summary:The Community Ethos module establishes the important link Governors provide between the school and the community.Description:Governors and Ethos Two - this module will consider how ethos contributes to ensuring the school is at the heart of its community and the role the community can play in supporting the school. The positive impact community groups have on school ethos and the contribution they make to the life of the school are also considered.Duration: 45 MinutesDelivery: Online session
