Newham Leisure Centre

Ever wondered what activity is on offer for disabled children and young people in the borough, this event will provide taster sessions of sport in Newham.Join us at Newham Leisure Centre to take part in some great accessible sports taster sessions. Active Newham, Dosti Dance, LYR, and Disability Sports Coach will be delivering a range of accessible sports for SEND young people and their families up to the age of 25 with provision for early years.These include: <ul><li>Indoor rowing</li><li>Wheelchair basketball</li><li>Boccia</li><li>Bhangra </li><li>Bollywood Dance</li><li>Table Tennis</li><li>Multi-sports</li><li>Swimming </li></ul>If you want to relax we will have a calm space where you can explore sensory activities and learn how to recreate the theme at home. Healthy snacks and refreshments will be provided. Throughout the day there will be members of staff available to show you around the facilities in the Leisure Centre, so you will be able to find out exactly what is on offer and the access around the building. There will be two dedicated SEND swimming sessions. BSL interpreters will be available on the day. Please ensure if you attend this event you must stay with your child, you can not leave your children on their own at the event.
