Graffiti Workshop (Beginners)

Eat, drink, paint and play at Leake Street Arches; a celebration of urban art, dining and entertainment located underneath Waterloo Station. Eight former railway arches have been brought back to life to provide a carefully curated selection of independent restaurants, bars and entertainment spaces that capture the essence of urban culture. These include; Aures London, Banh Bao Brothers, Draughts, Mamuśka! Polish Kitchen and Bar, and 26 Leake Street. The redevelopment of the 23,000 sq ft space has being led by LCR and complements the wider regeneration taking place in Lambeth. Adjoining London’s largest legal graffiti wall on Leake Street (which has made its name as a democratic cultural venue for street art) Leake Street Arches offers an exciting street-culture led destination to the 24 million people visiting the South Bank each year.For more information seewww.leakestreetarches.london

Leake Street Arches

Autumn 2019 sees the launch of #LeakeStreetLIVE, a new free public events programme that will bring a range of events and activations to Leake Street Arches. 
September will feature a variety of taster experiences before the full programme launches officially in November. 
#LeakeStreetLIVE supports the Leake Street Arches ethos of celebrating urban culture and creativity by providing immersive experiences that everyone can get involved in.
The September programme will include graffiti lessons, dance classes, graffiti talks, live music and a finale paint jam. 
GRAFFITI WORKSHOPS Each Thursday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, visitors can take part in a free graffiti class led by Sophy Robson (aka @SophyNails). Sophy will give a brief introduction to the world of graffiti before demonstrating a few techniques. Guests will then be invited to leave their own mark on the walls of Leake Street. The workshop includes overalls, masks and spray paint.
