Granny Square Masterclass
Join us for a fun and creative workshop where you'll learn all the tips and tricks to become a Granny Square Master!
Welcome to the Granny Square Masterclass! Join us over 3 sessions on Thurs 16th, 23rd & 30th April, at 18:30 at The Hub, The Glades, Bromley for a fun and creative evenings of crochet.
This event is perfect for anyone looking to improve their crochet skills. Our expert instructors will guide you through the process step by step, so you can create a project of your choosing.
You will need to have basic crochet skills which means you need to know how to chain, double crochet and treble crochet before you can join this workshop.
You will learn how to read a crochet pattern chart and a written pattern. You will get to make at least two different types of granny squares. You will choose which square you want to make your project with.
Once you have learnt how to make your squares, you will need to make some at home between sessions so that you can learn the joining and finishing techniques in the final class.
Projects
Hat - requires 6 floral granny squares
Bag 1 - 3 Large granny squares
Bag 2 - 13 floral granny squares
We will provide information about how to line your bags with fabric if you would like to, but you will need to do that outside of the workshops.
You will need to bring your own crochet hooks. Size 3.5mm, 4mm & 4.5mm would be useful or those appropriate to the yarn that you intend to use. (You will find this on the ball band of the yarn)
We do have a limited yarn collection that you could chose from for your practice squares but you will need to purchase your own yarn for your chosen project. Cotton is best for summer projects and bags as it is cool and doesn't stretch too much. There is a local yarn shop on Chatterton Road called Avicraft open Wed-Sat
If you have any questions about this workshop, please email charlotte@greenerandcleaner.co.uk
Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow crafters and unleash your creativity. See you there!
We regularly take photographs at our events to support us explaining what we do, and keep our funders informed. If for any reason you would prefer not to have your image included, please discuss this on arrival with the event leader
